Prodigious jazz composer/producer/multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier has announced a string of Australian shows in August and September in support of his Djesse album series.
The UK wunderkind's unfathomable knowledge of reharmonisation and music theory has seen him win the praises of industry legends such as Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, Hans Zimmer and Pharrell Williams. Fusing elements of jazz, groove, gospel, a capella and electronic music in his works, Collier's innovative approach to wriitng and performing music has seen him rise to critical acclaim, with two tracks from his debut solo LP In My Room earning Grammy Awards for their mind bending musical arrangements.
Collier's Australian tour will see the 24 year old multi-instrumentalist perform two nights back-to-back at Melbourne's Recital Centre, as well as a show at QPAC for the Brisbane Festival and a performance at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
