Jackson Unveils Mick Thomson Signature Range

Designed to withstand Thomson’s aggressive technique and tone, the Mick Thomson Soloist SL2 features a bound mahogany body coupled with a graphite reinforced one piece maple neck, carved to a custom super-thin profile to enhance playability and comfort. The SL2 also boasts a pristine ebony fretboard with a 12″-16″ compund radius, as well as a Jackson MTB HT6 Hardtail bridge and locking nut to ensure tuning stability in any circumstance.

Complimenting Thomson’s personal preference for drop-tuned riffage, the SL2 is loaded with a pair of Thomson’s signature Seymour Duncan Blackout pickups. Tweaked to the masked crusader’s own specifications, the bridge pickup will give you all the response you’d ever want for that percussive, palm-muted Slipknot-esque riffage, while the crystal clean neck pickup is perfect for melodic leads and high-speed solos.

The Jackson Signature Mick Thomson Soloist SL2 comes in both black and white bound finishes, and should be hitting shores pretty soon. In the mean time, you can check out Thomson give a rundown of the new guitar in the above video.
