NY post-punk revivalists Interpol have shared details of their forthcoming EP A Fine Mess, as well as releasing new single 'The Weekend.'
The announcement follows the release of the band's recent single 'Fine Mess,' which was released a mere four months after the band's 2018 LP Marauder. Recorded in upstate New York with super-producer Dave Fridmann, A Fine Mess is said be a fluid body of work which follows on from concepts explored across Marauder, acting as a "living, breathing postcard from the band to their fans as they tour the world throughout 2019."
Interpol have also released the second single from A Fine Mess with 'The Weekend,' a rollicking, anthemic track which promises to transport you back to the band's early '00s heyday. Listen below.
Recently, Interpol were announced to be performing at a range of keynote international festivals including Glastonbury, Primavera Sound, Best Kept Secret and All Points East, the latter seeing them join headliners The Strokes to provide punters with a healthy dosage of premium New York indie rock. Lace up your All Stars for that one.
