IDLES return with ferocious new single 'Mercedes Marxist'

Their First Release Since Joy As An Act Of Resistance

Bristol punks of the moment IDLES have marked their first new music of 2019 with the red hot 'Mercedes Marxist.'

The critically acclaimed punks, who have been celebrated for their efforts in exposing problematic sexist behaviours within the punk scene, have announced that 'Marxist Mercedes' will see a physcial release later this year as part of a 7" single on Friday August 2. The record is set for release via Partisan Records, and will feature 'I Dream Guillotine' as the B-Side.

Recorded in the same sessions used for last year's Joy As An Act Of Resistance, 'Marxist Mercedes' is driven by angular guitars and a pounding drum and bass groove, with singer Joe Talbot's voice bearing a gritiness that really just makes you want to revolt. Listen to the new track below.

Remember when IDLES spent the day smashing the shit out of an Aston microphone?
