Work Alongside Ecca Vandal and Joel Ma

The Grass Roots Indie Development (GRID) has opened applications for its artists development program, for artists and bands living, working or studying in Melbourne's Wyndham area.

The Victorian-based program has been around since 2013, and 2019 has seen the initative expand to emerging music communities within the outer suburbs of Sydney, Brisbane and Perth.

The Melbourne Deep West Program includes a weekend of one-on-one mentoring with music industry professionals, a song development session, a live video, a single launch showcase and a produced track recorded at Box Hill Institute's Sing Sing East studios.

The program will include sessions with Ecca Vandal, Lior and Joel Ma, industry professionals Dave Morgan (Tash Sultana, Maddy Jane, Riley Pierce) and Vader Fame and producers Anna Laverty (Courtney Barnett, Paul Dempsey, Peep Tempel, Ruby Boots), Oscar Dawson (Alex Lahey, Ali Barter, Busby Marou, Holy Holy) and Russell Fawcus (Slum Sociable, The Temper Trap).

Applications for the program close on 17 May. To learn more head over to the website for details.
