Gibson reveal Michael Clifford Signature Melody Maker

Oozing a classy rock ‘n roll retro aesthetic with its double cut design and hefty neck, the Michael Clifford Melody Maker fuses a Swamp Ash body with a pristine maple neck for a biting, resonant tone with plenty of sustain on tap. The black Richlite fretboard and red acrylic ‘x’ inlays add a subtle touch of punk to the instrument, while the Jet Black Cherry finish is bound to look a treat under lights.

In the electronics department, the Gibson Michael Clifford Melody Maker makes do with a single BurstBucker 3 Humbucker in the bridge position, delivering a beefy PAF-style tone which is perfect for chugging riffs and scorching leads. There’s also a push-pull volume control to split the coils of the humbucker for a bright, single-coil voicing, with a Kill Switch Toggle also offering the potential to explore further tonal options and experimental effects.

Elsewhere, the guitar features Grover tuners, a Tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece, and an official hard shell case to keep everything tucked together.
