Gibson debut the signature Lukas Nelson ’56 Les Paul Junior

The new Lukas Nelson Les Paul Junior stays relatively faithful to Nelson’s own model, with Gibson adding a few minor tweaks in the form of new medium jumbo to make it a little more friendly for modern players.

With a classic slab mahogany body and baseball bat ’50s neck profile, the Lukas Nelson LP Junior is custom-spec’d to kill, while a Satin Vintage Sunburst nitrocellulose finish adds a classic touch to the new model. The guitar features a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, Kluson-style tuners and a ’50s wrap-around bridge, while the truss rod is adorned with Nelson’s signature to affirm its authenticity.

In the electronics department, the Lukas Nelson Les Paul Junior boasts a single dog-ear P-90 with Alnico 3 magnets for a rockin’, rowdy tone that’s bound to sound amazing, with a single tone and volume control being used to control the pickup’s sounds. Gibson have also used 500k vintage audio taper pots and an Orange Drop capacitor to make the guitar as close to vintage spec as possible, making for a sweet signature axe that’s minimal on features yet packs a mighty punch.
