Gang of Youths, Montaigne and more to play charity soccer match

A Five-A-Side Fundraiser

A whole bunch of Aussie musicians are set to lace up their boots for Musica Copa, an annual soccer match raising funds for deserving charities across Australia.

Members of Gang of Youths, Bag Raiders, Flight Facilities, World Champion and solo acts Montaigne, Alex the Astronaut and Young Franco are locked in to face off against one another in a 21 team series of five-a-side games this Friday.

Musica Copa has raised over $40,000 for various causes since its inception in 2012, with key figures in the Aussie music industry including DMA's, What So Not, and The Rubens having faced off in previous years. This year, Musica Copa will be donating the proceeds of the event to a whole slew of charities, including Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Beyond Blue, The Girls Refuge, Heaps Decent, Wesley Mission and many more.

With entry only $10 on the door and tunes set to be supplied by Triple J's KLP, producer Mickey Kojak and FBi Radio, make sure you don't miss out on this one.

Musica Copa 2017 is set to go down at the Sydney Portugal Community Club from 1pm onwards on Friday December 1. For more details, check out the website here
