Framus unleash the Panthera II Studio Supreme

The two new Masterbuilt and Teambuilt Panthera models look set to turn heads with their distinctive finishes, with the high-end Masterbuilt version featuring an AAAA flamed maple top over a mahogany body for a striking visual aesthetic and the choice of either a set-in flamed mahogany or maple neck. For players who want to let their fingers do the talking, the Teambuilt Panthera II Studio Supreme boasts an AAA carved flame maple top with a maple neck – perfecto.

Both Panthera II Studio Supreme models also feature tiger striped ebony fretboards to zip up and down the neck with ease, as well as rounded fret edges with certified Plek Invisible Fretwork technology for the smoothest possible playing experience. There’s also premium hardware such as Graph Tech Ratio locking tuners, a low friction Black Tusq nut and a Tune-o-Matic bridge for enhanced tuning stability.

In the electronics department, both the Masterbuilt and Teambuilt variants boast Seymour Duncan APH-1N Alnico II Pro neck humbuckers, an APS-1 RW/RP Alnico Pro II Staggered singlecoil in the middle position and a coil-splitting SH-5 Custom bridge humbucker, allowing for a wide range of tonal flexibility.

While you’ll have to put in a special order to get your hands on a Maserbuilt model, the Framus Teambuilt Panthera II Studio Supreme is available now in a range of finishes, including Lagoon Blue Burst, Burgundy Blackburst, Nirvana Black, Antique Tobacco or Vintage Sunburst. These guitars have picked up a fair share of acclaim since their introduction, and this latest iteration definitely looks like Framus’ best version yet – don’t sleep on these units.
