Designed in the UK and crafted in Indonesia, the Lyra features a unique slimline design, while the profile of the neck still makes it suitable for slinky fingerpicking. The guitar is crafted with a solid red cedar top and rosewood back and sides, which are both finished in a high gloss lacquer for a glowing sheen. The neck of the Lyra is also rosewood, while the ebony fretboard provides a sweet, dark tone to complement the cedar top. There’s also a soundhole rosette made form Indonesian rosewood, boasting an Abalone border for a classy aesthetic.
The Faith Lyra is also fitted with a Fishman Sonitone preamp and pickup inside the soundhole, which has been specially designed for classical guitars to carry out the trebly, higher frequencies of nylon strings when plugged in. It’s a pretty exciting release from the company, and we’re very keen to get our hands on it. ‘Classical Gas’, anyone?
