Eventide release Instant Phaser Mk II plug-in

Meticulously remodelled from the original hardware of the original unit, the new Eventide Instant Phaser Mk II plug-in is designed to offer a faithful reproduction of the classic sound of the ’70s while offering a modern, user-friendly design.

The unit, which was most famously used by Jimmy Page to create the monstrous guitar tracks on the Physical Graffiti epic ‘Kashmir,’ offers a pair of de-correlated outputs with three distinctive characteristics, allowing users to choose between Shallow, Wide and Deep presets for a diverse range of modulated tones. The Phasing of the unit can also be controlled by four variables: Manual phasing mode, Oscillator mode, Envelope follower and Remote mode, which can be mapped to a mod-wheel of a MIDI keyboard for tactile manipulation of the phase rate.

Eventide have also added the intuitive Age feature to their Instant Phaser Mk II plug-in, mimicking the sonic characteristics of a vintage rack unit from yesteryear. This feature allows users to choose between the sounds of a brand new, perfectly tuned phaser or an emulation of the wonky imperfections of an age-old phaser from the ’70s, offering a plethora of modulation options to suit any preference.

The Instant Phaser Mk II plug-in is available for Mac and PC users to download now
