Ernie Ball Music Man tease signature StingRay for AC/DC bassist Cliff Williams

The signature bass, which was revealed last week via a Guitar.com Live virtual exhibit, is an accurate reproduction of Williams’ main instrument while performing and recording with AC/DC, a Sunburst StingRay manufactured back in 1979.

Slated to receive an official release in November, the signature model bears a significant amount of wear and is void of a pickguard, and features the classic three-bolt neck and bullet truss rod to deliver an authentic recreation of the classic ’70s design.

Given that AC/DC’s new album PWR/UP is set to drop on Friday November 13, it’s safe to say that next month is shaping up to be a big one for fans of the classic Aussie rockers.

Watch Cliff discuss the signature model in a video with Ernie Ball and Guitar.com below, and keep your eyes peeled for more details when the new bass officially lands next month.

Ernie Ball Music Man is distributed in Australia via CMC Music.
