Pull out the drool bucket: Ernie Ball Music Man have released the first glimpse of the June run of Ball Family Reserve guitars, featuring three impeccably styled models handmade by the company's finest craftsmen.
Limited to a mere 55 models worldwide, the BFR Albert Lee Electric Shimmer is certainly a sight to behold. Featuring a mahogany body with a deluxe figured roasted maple neck and dual humbuckers, this blinged-out bad boy boasts an exquisite sparkle gold Electric Shimmer finish which is guaranteed to dazzle. Elsewhere, the model features all gold hardware, including Schaller tuners, and a deluxe matching headstock - bliss. Whoever nabs one of these axes is going to be very, very happy.
Next up is the BFR Axis Predator Green Quilt, with a limited production run of only 50 units. As the name implies, this model features a stunning figured quilt maple top, hand stained with a distinctive Predator Green translucent finish to ensure you remain stealthy even when shredding on the largest of stages. The Axis Predator Green Quilt also boasts a premium African mahogany body with a translucent walnut finish as well as a Satin finished, roasted figured maple neck with ebony fingerboard and pearl Schaller tuners.
Finally, we've got the BFR Luke Shadow Gold, which puts a funky spin on Toto guitarist Steve Lukather's signature model with the company. Limited to 65 units worldwide, this iridescent piece of kit features a lightweight African mahogany body with an exclusive Shadow Gold sparkle finish, as well as a figured maple neck with an ebony fretboard and a matching painted headstock with Schaller tuners. Each model also features Lukather's signature on the backplate, making for the ultimate gift for all those Toto loving dads out there.
