The Pyramids Flanger Pedal from Ohio-based company, EarthQuaker Devices, is set to make you rethink the way you view flangers as a choice for your pedalboard.
The Pyramids Stereo Flanger boasts a whopping array of useful functions, turning the seldom-used flanger on your pedalboard into a valuable stereo asset. Gain even more freedom to easily embellish your playing with eight different on-board modes (Classic, Through-Zero, Barber Pole (Up or Down), Trigger (Up or Down), Step and Random), five control knobs and the ability to re-trigger the LFO cycle with the press of a button.
In order to give the player even more functionality, the pedal also has five rewriteable stock presets to allow creation and storage of some very impressive soundscapes, alongside an additional live mode, giving you free rein for experimentation. Built on the same proprietry DSP architecture as their popular Avalanche Run, the Pyramids also contains EQD's increasingly renowned Flexi-Switch relay switching to allow for flipping between momentary or latching operation on the fly. Combine that with the ability to control the modulation with an external expression pedal and/or side-chain the device from an external control source and you have a huge scope for adaptability in your pedal collection.
