Melbourne alt-pop outfit On Diamond have released a music video for their new single ‘Light’.
Following on from the band's debut single ‘Long Road,’ frontwoman Lisa Salvo describes the slow-burning-chaotic-folk-inspired single as “A solitary cry of desperation for not knowing if there will be relief from internal suffering. It's a common sentiment - the light at the end of the tunnel. Often you can see or feel it but sometimes perspective disappears completely.”
‘Light’ is also accompanied by a music video, featuring a special guest appearance from the Melburnian Swordcraft Community, a medieval recreationist group who frequent the grassy parks of the city. The clip was directed by Sabina Maselli, who noted the thematic links between the visuals and the song.
“I imagined the protagonist in this song going through a magical transformation," said Maselli. "Trying to escape the noise of the world. I had come across Swordcraft players in my local park and I thought that this would make an ideal backdrop for this metamorphosis."

‘Light’ will be officially released on Friday August 4 on Eastmint Records/Gaga Digi and will be launching it at The Yarra Hotel in Melbourne on Saturday September 2. For more information head to ondiamond.net.
