Daptone Records Release Moving Tribute To Charles Bradley

The Late Soul Singer Celebrated In New Video

Charles Bradley, The Screaming Eagle of Soul, sadly passed away two weeks ago following a long battle with cancer. The singer was known for his emotional delivery, big voice and old school showmanship, having started out as a James Brown imitator before signing to Daptone Records for his debut album No Time For Dreaming in 2011.

The label have now released a touching video tribute to Bradley, featuring behind the scenes footage shot on tour, as well as onstage scenes shared with labelmate Sharon Jones, who also passed away from complications from cancer late last year. Watch the video below and remember one of the most unmistakably unique and powerful voices of soul music in our time. Bradley was 68.
