D’Angelico introduces new Tammany and Niagara acoustics

Billing itself as the ultimate travel guitar, the D’Angelico Niagara’s 14-inch wide mini dreadnaught body packs a tonal punch far mightier than its size may suggest. Available in either mahogany for midrange warmth or a resonant spruce top, the Niagara features a slim C-shaped neck and satin finish, offering optimised comfort and playability regardless of wood choice. If that’s not enough, the Niagara also comes with an inbuilt preamp and tuner, acting as the perfect touring acoustic for on-the-road musos and buskers worldwide.

If you’re after something a little more traditional, then the D’Angelico Tammany is your cup of tea. With its non-cutaway orchestral sized body, open pore satin finish and solid mahogany top, the Tammany oozes both tone and tradition, offering exceptional warmth and mid-range clarity across all six strings. Like its pint-sized compadre, the Tammany also features a slim C-shaped neck and a slightly shallower body depth, selling itself as a perfect acoustic alternative for the electric guitarist.

Both the D’Angelico Niagara and Tammany feature an ovongkal fretboard and bridge as well as antique bronze tuners. While there’s no news on price or availability just yet, stay tuned to Mixdown for further updates on the D’Angelico Premier range.
