The Excel SS semi-hollow guitar has made a name for itself as a go-to choice for guitarists around the world. D’Angelico has responded to such success by presenting a 2019 edition, complete with a host of premium updates.
Notable upgrades include Seymour Duncan 59 humbuckers paired with coil-tapping push/pull tone knobs, increasing the SS’ versatility and maximising its tonal output.
Elsewhere, the SS joins the double-cutaway Excel DC in featuring split-block inlays and a gold truss rod cover. To top it all off, the Excel SS is now available in four distinct finishes: Iced Tea Burst, Natural, Cherry and Black.
