Cort unveils X500 electric guitar

Designed with an emphasis on modern, aggressive metal stylings, the X500 features a sleek Swamp Ash neck-thru-body construction, resulting in a punchy mid-range response, enhanced sustain and ease of access to the instrument’s upper frets. The X500 also boasts a five-piece Maple and Panga Panga neck and an ebony compound radius fretboard, offering players an unmatched playing experience when both riffing down low and shredding up high – a must have for many metal players.

With both the EMG 60 up the neck and an EMG 81 in the bridge position featuring ceramic magnets, the X500 offers fluid sustain and high end cut, resulting in an essential electronic pairing for modern metal. Elsewhere, a Floyd Rose tremolo will satisfy players hunting those filthy Dimebag-esque pitch squeals, while a simplified two-knob setup and three-way pickup selector switch keeps the focus on the music at hand. For those picky about colours, you’ll be able to find the X500 in both Open Pore Trans Grey and Open Pore Jean Burst finishes, with both finishes oozing a classic metal aesthetic that we can’t wait to get our hands on.
