Cort shares details of CR300 electric guitar

The CR300 emulates the PAF (Patent Applied For) tone using EMG RetroActive Fat 55 dual humbuckers, well received for their deft melding of vintage and modern tones.  “Patent Applied For” refers to Gibson’s iconic ’50s humbucker pickup associated with Les Pauls made from 1958-60, and is revered for its warm vintage tones.

The humbuckers have a fairly standard three way toggle switch that allows you to select either humbucker or both, paired with a typical two volume, two tone control layout.

The CR300 carries a simple elegance, featuring a 15mm carved maple top on a single cutaway mahogany body with ivory binding. Unusually, its mahogany neck uses a Jatoba wood fretboard with retroblock inlays. The guitar is available in an Aged Vintage Burst finish.
