Featuring a distinctive singlecut design for improved balance and unprecedented access up the fretboard, the A5 Plus SC is certainly a beast of its own. The design of the body is also said to improve the frequency response of the instrument, giving it a tighter low end and emphasising highs and mids for an unparalled resonant tone. It’s also got a 34″ scale and features a string-thru/lop-load construction with a Hipshot TransTone bridge, ensuring that it packs in the punch department while also offering plenty of sustain.
Cort have constructed the A5 Plus SC with a swamp ash body and maple neck with a panga panga fretboard, while an Amber Open Pore poplar burl top delivers both enhanced sonics and a striking aesthetic. There’s also a pair of Bartolini MK-1 pickups and an MK-1 active preamp with an inbuilt boost and three-band EQ, which can even be toggled between active/passive to make it as versatile as possible.
