A competition for aspiring DJs is heading to Melbourne

Universal School of Music is running its Sonic Presence DJ competition again in 2018, following the enormous success of the inaugural event last year. The event is set to provide aspiring DJs with the platform to showcase their sound and catch the eye of industry professionals.

Judges and mentors for the 2018 event are of the highest calibre, including Beth Grace, KISS FM radio producer and DJ, and USM mentor Simon Salerno. The judges will team up in an effort to decide which DJs have earned the honour of taking home a huge prize pack.

The top three winners of Sonic Presence 2018 are set to receive a full feature interview, exclusive airplay on KISS FM, the release of three singles, branding, club gigs, free mentoring, and more.

Each prize supports the modern approach of USM, a place designed to train, develop and produce independent professional musicians, artists & entrepreneurs in the new music industry. And let’s face it: in an age where everyone wants to be a musician, finding a blueprint to break into the industry is priceless.

Think you have what it takes? Take the next step and apply to audition.

Don’t miss the Sonic Presence DJ Competition at Universal School of Music in Point Cook on Sunday September 30.
