Are the preamps built right into the pickups or are they separate from the pickups like how bartolini is?

Thanks for a very useful review. Any issues (i.e. annoyance) with noise from the fan? That was the biggest problem I had with the smaller model.

To sales dept ,
hi , i have been looking at the musicman bongo 4 HH . as regards the colour , STERLING SILVER is available going by your colour availability , so if i were to ask for a colour outside what you have on offer eg: CARBON BLUE PEARL / EGYPTIAN SMOKE , would either those colours become available , if i had to wait for it ? would it alter the price ?
AND LASTLY : is the price firm at $2650 + freight ? i was hoping i could pick 1 up around the $2000 mark .
i wait for your reply cheers

I just came home with my brand new 25th anniversary. I agree the review above with one exception. With all of my four guitars (Yamaha SA 2000, LTD Phoenix 1000 and Carvins V220 and DC200) it gives aggressive metal roar.

Hi! I am thinking of buying the DW Stave Oak snare. I believe there is Siam, Ash, Koa wood, does
this effect the sound of the snare in any way. Which is the best one to go for.
Will the snare be warm, sensitive, fat, full bodied, with good attack and clarity.
thanks,
Giles.

I've been buying guitars & associated stuff on a few continents since the early '70's and Cameron knocks my socks off with his low-key approach and unbelievable customer service standard ...I hope he's around at least for as long as I need electric guitars.
