Collings expands electric line with the new I-30 LC

Offering An Abundance Of Tonal Diversity

Collings has revealed the latest addition to its electric line in the form of the hollow body I-30 LC, a model reminiscent of Collings’ I-35 and Statesman series.

First debuted as a prototype during NAMM 2017, the Collings I-30 LC is designed with a lightweight, trestle braced body to support the neck and tail block of the otherwise entirely hollow guitar.

Referred to by Collings as “one of the most acoustically responsive and versatile electric guitars we have ever offered,” the I-30 LC caters to an acoustic sound through Lollar Dog Ear P90s that provide a diverse palette of tones to complement the resonance of the hollow body instrument.

Acoustic resonance is further enabled by custom laminated plates, while a custom designed trapeze tailpiece minimises vibrato restriction for increased playability and adds an extra touch of elegance for the vintage aesthetic of the I-30 LC.

Collings are available in Australia through Gladesville Guitar Factory, Acoustic Centre, and The Rock Inn.
