Check out Ernie Ball Music Man’s amazing Ball Family Reserve models for July

This run is comprised of two custom StingRay basses, as well as a wild Albert Lee model, a baritone Axis and a slick Silhouette. As per usual, there’s only scant quantities of each model available, so if you’re keen to get your mitts on one, get in touch with Ernie Ball Music Man’s Australian distributors at CMC Music.

First up, there’s the all-new Axis Super Sport Baritone, a unique take on Ernie Ball’s classic shred-stick that looks set to please those low-end lovers out there. With a basswood body wrapped in a Starry Night metallic finish, this model looks insanely good, with custom appointments like a roasted maple neck, a beefy 27.5″ scale, Schaller locking tuners and bespoke EBMM baritone pickups sealing the deal. This one’s limited to only 60 pieces worldwide.

Next, there’s the July BFR Silhouette, limited to only 75 models around the world. With a medium-flake Silver Sparkle finish and matching Silver Flake headstock, this one’s as dazzling aesthetically as it is sonically, with a DiMarzio Super Distortion in the bridge position, a Chopper Blade in the middle and a Super II Distortion up towards the neck. Other features include a black logo silkscreen, Schaller locking tuners and matching chrome hardware to make for quite a fancy instrument indeed.

The EBMM Albert Lee is one of the most quirky guitars of the modern era, but this new July BFR model takes things to unprecedented new levels. This guitar, limited to a scare 50 units worldwide, features a natural stain mahogany body and an Indian rosewood neck and fingerboard, making for a classic tonal combination that also looks amazing due to the level of detail applied to the finish. The MM-90 also boasts three custom Music Man P90 pickups with cream covers, while each guitar is signed by the man Albert Lee himself – killer.

The July BFR range also presents the option of two awesome custom StingRay basses, with both four and five string variants available. Limited to only 85 models, the four string StingRay Special for this month is decked out with an incredible Pink Champagne Sparkle finish, and features gold hardware, dual humbuckers, a matching painted headstock and an 18v preamp with a tonne of headroom. There’s also a five-way pickup selector switch to let you flip between a range of tonal options.

Finally, there’s the BFR StingRay5 Special in a Sienna Sunburst finish, which boasts five strings and zero frets, making it a no-brainer for slick Pino Palladino inspired playing. With a lightweight ash body, lightweight custom EBMM tuners and a high-gloss roasted maple neck, this bass should be an absolute dream to play, and it looks amazing as well. There’s only 70 of these models available, so make sure you get your dibs in quick.
