For the clip the band enlisted the services of visionary video clip filmmaker Adrian Goleby. The payoff is a contrasting stream of vision, black and white answered with flurries of colour; the band met with the expressive movements and fluid nature of dancers.
Caligula’s Horse frontman Jim Grey explains the premise behind the video. “‘Turntail’ is exactly what Caligula’s Horse is about – it’s powerful, energetic, melodic and forthright – this is a song about taking a stand, about fighting for freedom in whatever way you can. Considering the atrocious political climate in Australia and worldwide, I don’t think we could be releasing this single at a more appropriate time.”
