Blackstar launch the HT Club 40 MkII Kentucky Special

The Blackstar Kentucky Special differs from its counterparts in the HT Club series by providing players with a pair of 6L6 tubes, eschewing the EL84’s typically used in the series for a spanky, articulate tone. The Kentucky Special also features a single 12′ Eminence Screamin’ Eagle speaker, perfectly voiced to provide howling highs and booming bass sounds. Whether you’re chugging away on rhythm or shredding country licks up and down the fretboard, the HT Club 40 MkII Kentucky Special is guaranteed to keep up the pace.

Like other models from Blackstar, the HT Club Kentucky Special is equipped with the company’s ISF tone shaping technology, as well as digital reverb with a dark/light tone switch, a speaker emulated output, four footswitchable voices and more. This swanky new addition to the HT Club series features a bright red Tolex covering, a tan basket weave, cream control knobs and an exclusive ‘Kentucky Special’ metal plaque to signify its undeniable country charm – just like a pair of spurs on your best cowboy boots.

It’s blindingly obvious that Blackstar are taking a page out of Fender’s Tweed series book with the Kentucky Special, but they’re definitely not the first (nor will they be the last) to do so. So, without any further ado – yeehawwww!
