Greek psychedelic punk outfit Bazooka have released the official music video for their 2016 single ‘Useless Generation’.
‘Useless Generation’ or ‘Άχρηστη Γενιά’, a single from Bazooka’s recent album of the same name, sees the boys from Volos express their frustration over Greece’s current economic crisis. The track brilliantly commandeers the band’s unique sense of youthful disdain of what surely must be the current global vortex of corruption and frustration.
The music video, which is entirely shot in black and white, follows a young man with a melancholy expression being dragged into undesirable, shadowy corners of the city. The clip’s gritty, eerie and downright uncomfortable atmosphere certainly lingers. Their message is clear: it’s up to their generation to fix Greece’s dire situation, or they’ll be forced to suffer the unfathomable consequences.
