As reported earlier today in The Herald Sun, Gudinski, the founder of Mushroom Records and Frontier touring, has been calling for a music hall of fame for over 15 years. With a $10 million kick start from the Government’s Music Works Program, the idea is finally becoming reality.

The Australian Music Hall of Fame will be part of the forthcoming Australian Music Vault, a new exhibition and education space in Arts Centre dedicated to the country’s rich music heritage. Due to open in November 2017, the Vault will include a free exhibition and latest cutting-edge technology.

The Arts Centre in Melbourne is Australia’s largest performing arts venue. It’s known for creating music legend exhibitions for the likes of AC/DC, Midnight Oil and Nick Cave. It currently hosts the Kylie onStage exhibition that has attracted over 200,000 visitors in two months.
