Allen & Heath releases SQ-7 mixing console

Packed with intuitive features, this new 48 channel/36 bus digital mixer combines a vast functionality into a highly adaptable package. Built on Allen & Heath’s newest generation 96kHz FPGA XCVI core, the console is capable of delivering high resolution audio with industry leading latency at under 0.7ms, even while handling a huge number of inputs and outputs. Featuring 32 mic preamps on board alongside eight stereo FX engines, this console will be perfectly suited to both live and studio settings.

The SQ-7 will be able to handle up to 12 separate stereo mixes, making it a perfect choice for running in ear-monitoring setups, as well as allowing direct-from-desk multitrack recording straight onto a USB, ensuring live mixes can be instantly captured without having to record out onto a laptop or computer. As well as this, the console is easily integrated with Allen & Heath’s SQ iPad and iPhone apps to allow the engineer to use the main mixing functions from anywhere in the venue and have them sent directly to the main desk.

Allen & Heath are distributed in Australia through Technical Audio Group.
