Alesis introduce Vortex Wireless 2 keytar

Featuring updated ergonomics, responsive controls and a more rugged enclosure, the Alesis Vortex Wireless 2 Keytar works via a single USB dongle, offering untethered MIDI functionality wherever you go. If you’re more of a traditionalist, Alesis also offers the option to plug it in to your computer – but why would you want to do that?

Specs wise, the Vortex 2 boasts 37 velocity sensitive keys with aftertouch, as well as eight backlit MPC-style pads to trigger drums and samples on the fly. Eight back-lit faders for MIDI control and a touchstrip also offer further response and articulate control, while a thumb controlled volume slider, pitch-bend wheel, sustain and octave buttons on the neck allow for unlimited expression.

In addition, Alesis have also included embedded and MIDI-assignable tilt detection functionality, which means you can adjust filter and cut off parameters simply by thrashing about with your Keytar. Find something cooler than that, I dare you.
