Alicia’s Keys is a metic­u­lously mul­ti­sam­pled piano instru­ment that embod­ies the soul­ful sound that has become her super­star trademark.

This mas­ter­piece was cre­ated from her prized C3 Neo Grand with the com­bined tal­ents of Thomas Skar­bye (aka Scar­bee), Ernest Cholakis (impulse response expert), and her own engi­neer, Ann Min­cieli. With 12 veloc­ity lay­ers (3000 sounds, 17Gb uncom­pressed), mechan­i­cal release noises, and a new sym­pa­thetic resonance/release sys­tem, this unique instru­ment deliv­ers so much real­ism that Ali­cia Keys her­self used it exclu­sively on her lat­est album, The Ele­ment of Free­dom.
