The Maschine Mk3 now has two high resolution colour screens that can be used for a variety of functions including sound browsing, editing and sound slicing and an added number of function buttons means that you won’t get stuck endlessly looking through menus to find what your after. Performance wise, the Maschine’s pads have been vastly improved becoming larger and more responsive.
As well as those added features, the Mk3 also contains a 24-bit/96kHz audio interface, to go along with the MIDI ports that were present on the previous version of the Maschine, which is great for those users who want to take the Mk3 out on the road to shows and recording sessions.
Komplete Kontrol Mk2 meanwhile, features two high resolution screens with 17 added function buttons. There is a tighter integration whilst working with DAWs, which now gives you the option to mix, navigate and edit projects from the Mk2. In the previous version of the MK2 controlling the pitch of notes and sounds was dedicated to sound strips which have been superseded with the arrival of mod wheels. However, one touch strip has been included for extra expression.
